About

Richmond Dyslexia

I am a qualified Teacher and an accredited Specialist Dyslexia Teacher and Assessor. I hold a Level 5 certificate in Dyslexia: Literacy, Support and Intervention and a Level 7 Diploma in Specific Learning Difficulties from The British Dyslexia Association. I have also been awarded Accredited Teacher Status (ATS) and hold an Assessment Practising Certificate (APC).

I am DBS checked and a professional member of both The British Dyslexia Association and PATOSS (The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties).

For more than two decades, I have been a Primary School Teacher and a Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator (SENCO).  Currently, I am a Specialist Teacher and Academic Mentor in an Independent Secondary School in West London.

I am deeply committed to empowering neurodiverse children and enabling them to reach their full potential. Having first hand knowledge of the challenges that children with dyslexia encounter in the classroom on a daily basis, I recognise the profound impact this can have on their self-esteem and confidence. It is precisely this awareness that has driven me to specialise in dyslexia, as I am passionate about helping young individuals uncover their unique abilities and achieve success.

Assessments and Screening

A dyslexia assessment or screening facilitates early intervention, mitigates frustration, enhances academic performance, and prevents misconceptions. By identifying dyslexia early, we empower individuals to thrive and reach their full potential

As an experienced Dyslexia Specialist, I am dedicated to early identification, empowering young people, and providing the understanding and support they require. My focus lies in uncovering each child’s unique strengths and nurturing their growth.
